🇩🇪 Marc Hennerici

Marc Hennerici is a retired German driver who raced primarily in multiclass endurance championships on shared-drive cars. An FIA Silver graded competitor, he spent his career in national and international GT racing; his longest tenure and greatest success came in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, where he raced Porsche and BMW machinery for TOYO TIRES with Ring Racing.[1]

Hennerici contested 68 starts across his indexed career from 2005 to 2024. His most prominent achievement was winning the World Touring Car Championship's Independent Trophy in 2005 with Wiechers-Sport, a category he dominated across a 20-round season. After that campaign he largely moved to endurance racing, where he scored 16 wins and 21 podiums across the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, the 24H Series, the FIA GT Championship and the Nürburgring 24 Hours. He won the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie twice; first in 2016 with raceunion Teichmann Racing, then again in 2024 with TOYO TIRES with Ring Racing.[2]

In the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, a multiclass field mixing amateurs and professionals across fifteen classes, Hennerici typically finished ahead of competitors such as Kai Riemer, a 2022 Cup 3 champion with over a hundred starts in the series, but regularly behind Dirk Müller, a Platinum-graded professional with extensive experience in touring cars, Formula 1-adjacent machinery and international endurance racing. He once finished ahead of Laurens Vanthoor, an established professional and multiple international champion across IMSA and WEC. His entry-level professional rating of 3,717 reflects a long career as a specialist in national-level GT racing where he proved capable among his peers but competed infrequently against the strongest graded professionals.
