Anthony Davidson is a Platinum-graded professional endurance racing driver who retired from active competition in 2021. His Racer Rating of 6,343 places him in the elite professional band; this represents a driver capable of winning races at the very top level of sportscar competition and holding his own against world-class rivals. Davidson's career spanned 14 seasons across two distinct formulae: a spell in Formula 1 from 2002 to 2008 as a test and race driver for Super Aguri, where he made 24 starts without a podium finish, and a more successful tenure in the FIA World Endurance Championship from 2012 to 2021, where he accumulated 13 wins and 32 podiums across 60 starts.[1]

Davidson's credentials rest primarily on his endurance racing record and his 2014 FIA World Endurance Drivers' Championship with Toyota, which crowned him among the elite of that discipline. Across his WEC career he averaged a P5.6 finishing position and competed regularly against established Platinum-graded professionals. Against his most frequent rivals, the picture is mixed. He held a winning head-to-head record against Neel Jani and finished ahead of Brendon Hartley more often than not, but was outfinished by Andre Lotterer, Loïc Duval, and Nick Heidfeld across their shared races. His most striking individual results came against generational drivers encountered in Formula 1 and later endurance racing; he finished ahead of Sebastian Vettel twice and Mark Webber on six occasions, though these were isolated results within much broader competitive contexts rather than sustained patterns.
