Juha Miettinen was a competitive amateur racing in German national multiclass endurance championships. He drove production cars in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie and the Nürburgring 24 Hours, competing in BMW 325i and V4 classes where amateurs and professionals shared the track. His primary team was Keeevin Sports and Racing.[1]
Over nine seasons from 2018 to 2026, Miettinen made 41 starts across the two series, taking two wins and 13 podiums. He was a consistent midfield competitor in the Langstrecken-Serie, where he made 38 starts with both his wins and most of his podium finishes. He also started the Nürburgring 24 Hours three times, finishing on the podium twice. His record included finishes ahead of established professionals; he beat Konsta Lappalainen, a Gold-graded driver with 50 GT World Challenge Europe starts, once, and finished ahead of Esteban Guerrieri, the 2012 Indy NXT champion and 2019 World Touring Car Cup champion, twice across their shared races.[2]
Miettinen raced most regularly against Oliver Frisse and Jürgen Huber, both regular opponents in the Langstrecken-Serie, and was closely matched with them throughout his career. Miettinen died in a seven-car crash during the 2026 Nürburgring 24 Hours qualifying weekend.
