Xavier Maassen is a Dutch professional racing driver, graded FIA Silver, who competed in endurance and single-seater racing from 2004 to 2015. He spent most of his career in the FIA GT Championship, where he drove shared sportscars for Luc Alphand Aventures, and in Formula Renault Eurocup for JD Motorsport. His rating of 4,740 places him at professional level; the breadth of his record across both endurance and open-wheel series reflects a varied career rather than a specialisation in one discipline.[1]

Maassen took 66 starts across six series over eleven seasons. His sole victory came in the FIA GT Championship, where he claimed four podiums in eighteen starts. In Formula Renault Eurocup he finished twice on the podium in thirty-two starts. A brief spell in Formula V8 3.5 in 2007 yielded no podiums from eleven starts. His most recent indexed activity was a single World Endurance Championship entry in 2015, finishing 22nd in the final standings. He returned to competition in 2023 and 2024 with two starts in GT World Challenge Europe for Comtoyou Racing.[2]

Maassen's regular opponents in Formula Renault Eurocup included Bertrand Baguette and Filipe Albuquerque, both of whom went on to become Platinum-graded professionals and champions in multiple series; he finished behind both drivers consistently. His most notable result came against Edoardo Mortara, the 2010 Formula 3 Euro Series champion and later an elite professional competitor in Formula E, whom he beat five times. He also finished ahead of Sébastien Buemi, a five-time WEC champion and Formula E champion, once in their meetings.
