Justin Crickenberger was a club-level racer competing in national solo sprint racing across American multiclass championships. He drove for Rush SR in NASA's Honda Challenge 2 and PTE classes, and raced Spec Miata and Porsche machinery in PCA Club Racing and SCCA Majors events from 2014 through 2022.[1]
His record across nine indexed seasons totalled 70 starts, 12 wins and 26 podiums. The bulk of his activity came in NASA, where he made 64 starts over a nine-year span from 2014 to 2023, taking 9 wins and 23 podiums in the process. In 2020 and 2021 he raced PCA Club Racing in SPB Porsche, scoring 3 wins from 4 starts. His most recent racing came in 2022 SCCA Majors, where he started twice in Spec Miata and finished 66th in the final standings.[2]
Crickenberger raced regularly against Christopher Shaffer, whom he usually outfinished, and was closely matched with Gale Corley, both club-level rivals with substantial NASA experience. He beat professional driver Hannah Grisham, a two-time World Racing League GTO National champion with 65 NASA starts, on three occasions in Spec Miata racing; he also finished ahead of professional Danny Soufi, a two-time Prototype Winter Series LMP3 champion, three times.
