Ken Erb was a competitive amateur who competed in single-seater racing at the entry level. His racing record consists of a single start in the 2002 Star Mazda Championship, where he finished 34th. His Racer Rating of 2,741 places him in the competitive amateur band, the level of club racing and the entry end of professional-am competition.[1]
In his sole classified start, Erb finished ahead of several drivers who went on to establish themselves at higher levels. He beat Luis Schiavo, who would become 2003 Star Mazda champion; John Mefford and Bryan Willman, both professional-level drivers; and Aaron Ogus, a semi-professional competitor. However, with only one race on record, these results represent single encounters rather than a sustained competitive pattern. Erb has since retired from racing.
