🇩🇪 Knut Kluge

Knut Kluge was a club-level driver competing in multiclass endurance racing at the Nürburgring. He raced for mathilda racing in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie between 2013 and 2016, piloting turbocharged and modified production-based race cars in the SP 3T, SP 6 and SP 7 classes. He returned to endurance racing at the Nürburgring 24 Hours in 2019, 2022 and 2023, again driving a turbocharged production car in the SP 3T class.[1]

Across seven starts in these series, Kluge took two podium finishes, both at the Nürburgring 24 Hours in his later appearances. His 2013 to 2016 run in the Langstrecken-Serie produced no podiums from five starts. In the 24-hour race he finished on the podium in two of his three starts from 2019 onwards.[2]

Kluge raced against a field mixing amateurs and semi-professionals with graded drivers. He typically finished behind Matthias Wasel, a regular opponent across both series. Among graded professionals, he beat Peter Bonk, a semi-professional FIA Bronze driver who had 22 Langstrecken-Serie starts to his name, once across their meetings, and took a finish ahead of Takayuki Kinoshita, an entry-level professional FIA Bronze driver, in a single race.
