Christian Schotte is a club-level driver who raced in shared-car endurance racing at the Nürburgring. Over four seasons from 2019 to 2023, he competed in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, a national multiclass championship where up to fifteen production-car classes race together, and made one appearance in the Nürburgring 24 Hours. He drove for MSG Bayerischer Wald Hutthurm e.V. im ADAC in both V4 and VT2 Hecka classes; both are near-standard production machinery. His record comprises nine starts in the Langstrecken-Serie and one in the 24 Hours.[1]
In the Langstrecken-Serie, Schotte regularly encountered Philipp Leisen, a multiple V4 and VT2 champion and entry-level professional who has made over a hundred starts in the series, and Danny Brink, a semi-professional who claimed four consecutive V4 titles from 2018 to 2021. Schotte typically finished behind both. He shared the grid with a broad field of amateurs and semi-professionals competing against graded professionals; within that field, he finished ahead of Andrea Caldarelli, an established professional and two-time GT champion with extensive experience in IMSA and GT World Challenge Europe, once, and Giacomo Altoè, a professional with a Ferrari Challenge title, once. Those instances represent isolated results rather than a pattern of competitive advantage against drivers of that calibre.[2]
