Laurentius Michielse was a club-level driver racing in multiclass endurance competition. His sole indexed season came in 2012, when he contested the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, a national championship in which shared production cars in fifteen classes raced together across the season. He drove a V5-class near-standard car for Black Falcon Team TMD Friction, completing four starts.[1]
Michielse finished 17th in the championship standings. He shared the car with teammates in the endurance format, meaning his results also reflected his co-drivers' pace and consistency. Among the regular competitors in the V5 class were Guido Wirtz, the 2012 series champion in that class, and Norbert Fischer, who would go on to win the V5 title in 2017, 2018 and 2019. Michielse typically finished behind both men. He did on occasion outpace other drivers in the field, including endurance and 24-hour racing regulars such as Einar Thorsen and Carsten Ohlinger.[2]
