Manfred Schmitz is a club-level driver racing in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, a national multiclass endurance championship where amateur and professional drivers share production cars over distance races at the Nürburgring. He has raced in the H2 and V4 classes across seven starts between 2019 and 2024, latterly for Car #702.[1]
Over his three seasons of indexed racing, Schmitz finished behind regular opponents Oliver Frisse and Juha Miettinen, both competitive amateurs with substantially more racing in the series. He nonetheless beat Philipp Leisen, an entry-level professional and multiple V4 and VT2 Hecka 4WD champion in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, once across their meetings, and shared a result ahead of Jacob Erlbacher, a semi-professional with 35 starts in Prototype Cup Germany.[2]
