Jacob Erlbacher is a semi-professional endurance racing driver competing at FIA Silver grade, which places him in the tier below full-time professionals in sportscar competition. He races shared-driver prototype and production machinery in national German championships and their European counterparts, primarily for Gebhardt Motorsport. His main series is the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, a multiclass endurance championship where he also competes in the Nürburgring 24 Hours, one of endurance racing's most demanding events.[1]

Across seven seasons from 2020 to 2026, Erlbacher has taken six wins and fourteen podiums from 66 starts. He won three times in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie from 23 starts and claimed three victories in six attempts at the Nürburgring 24 Hours, a strike rate that shows his strength in the longer-format racing where his series operate. His recent move into Prototype Cup Europe in 2026 represents his first indexed racing outside Germany.
