Raiden Nicol is a semi-professional racing solo single-seater and spec-car racing in national championships across the USA. He drives Radical sports prototypes for PRIMAL Racing in the Radical Cup NA series, where he took the PRO 1500 class title in 2025. He also contests the Radical World Finals and has raced extensively in NASA's multiclass series, fielding both Mazda Miatas in spec trim and more powerful closed-wheel machinery.[1]
Nicol has compiled 61 starts across five seasons from 2021 to 2025, with 33 wins and 43 podiums. His most productive years came in NASA, where he scored 13 wins and 16 podiums in 22 starts, and in Radical Cup NA, where he took 10 wins and 12 podiums from 15 starts; the latter campaign culminated in a PRO 1500 championship. He has also raced SCCA Majors and SCCA Regionals in Mazda Spec Miata cars, winning five times in 12 Majors starts, and appeared three times in the Radical World Finals in 2025 with one win.[2]
Nicol typically finishes ahead of regular opposition such as Jack Yang, a club-level competitor, and John Palazzolo, a developing driver with extensive NASA experience. He has beaten Connor Zilisch, an established professional and multiple champion in NASCAR Xfinity and the NASCAR Cup Series, once; he has also finished ahead of Ian Aguilera, a professional who has raced in the European and Asian Le Mans Series, twice. His 2025 Radical Cup championship placed him in a field of national-level competitors running prototypes across multiple classes.
