Marcel Fayen was a competitive amateur racer with a Racer Rating of 2,053, placing him in the club racing tier where competition is genuine but typically does not meet the professional level. His recorded career spanned two seasons in the International GT GT4.0 class from 2022 to 2023, accumulating 27 starts, 6 wins, and 19 podiums. His average finishing position of P3.1 reflected consistent performance in a competitive field; he won the 2022 International GT GT4.0 championship in his debut season before stepping back to a supporting role in 2023, when he finished seventh overall with five podiums across nine rounds.[1]

Fayen's results showed him competitive against drivers of similar standing and occasionally capable of beating more accomplished competitors in single-race performances. He held a strong head-to-head record against less experienced rivals such as Nicholas Groombridge and Albert Lukazik, finishing ahead of them in the clear majority of shared races. Against stronger fields he struggled more consistently; against Scott Blind, a Bronze-graded professional and 2023 series champion, Fayen finished ahead only twice in ten races. He did manage isolated victories over FIA Bronze-graded driver Steve Dunn and over Mike Skeen, a Silver-graded former Trans-Am TA2 champion, though these represented exceptions rather than patterns in their meetings. Fayen was killed in a crash at Daytona International Speedway in October 2023.
