Mark Giesbrecht was a club-level driver competing in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, a national multiclass endurance championship in which he shared his car across multiple classes, primarily H2, SP 3, and V3 machinery, with co-drivers over a twelve-year span. He raced for Car #611 for the majority of his career in the series.[1]
Giesbrecht recorded four wins and twenty podiums across forty-one starts between 2010 and 2021. He won the 2014 Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie championship with Car #511. His final season, 2021, saw him take three podiums in three rounds, a strong close to his time in the series before retiring.[2]
Racing regularly against competitive amateurs in a field spanning club to professional level, Giesbrecht finished closely matched with Michael Uelwer, another club-ranked regular, but typically trailed Stephan Epp, a two-time series champion in different classes. His most notable individual results came against stronger opposition; he finished ahead of Nathanael Berthon, a Gold-graded professional with seventy-eight FIA World Touring Car Cup starts, and Thomas Onslow-Cole in their respective meetings. His Car #611 team produced no wins during his tenure, competing at the club end of the field.
