🇩🇪 Daniel Overbeck

Daniel Overbeck is a retired semi-professional racing driver from Germany who competed in national endurance championships. He spent nine seasons in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, a multiclass championship where modified production-based and near-standard turbocharged cars shared the track with up to fifteen other classes, with each entry crewed by multiple drivers working in rotation. He raced primarily for Car #614, which won 24 races across the index with a small driver roster.[1]

Overbeck took 37 starts in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie across 2014 to 2022, scoring 14 wins and 26 podiums. He won the series championship twice, in 2018 and 2019, both times in Car #614. He made a single appearance in the Nürburgring 24 Hours in 2019, piloting Car #117 in the SP 3 class. His record places him among drivers who can run consistently near the front of amateur and semi-professional endurance fields.[2]

Among his most regular rivals were Gerrit Holthaus and Stephan Epp, both semi-professional or competitive amateur drivers who shared many of the same races and with whom Overbeck was closely matched. He finished ahead of Tatsuya Kataoka, an established professional and three-time Super GT GT300 champion with 146 Super GT starts, on one occasion, and beat Maxime Soulet, a professional with extensive GT World Challenge Europe experience, once in a Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie meeting.
