Matt Ales is a developing driver racing in national single-class and multiclass championships in the United States. He competes in Skip Barber's CLASS class for Skip Barber Team and races the Super Touring 4 class in NASA's multiclass championship, where production-based cars share the track with fourteen other classes.[1]

His first indexed season began in 2026. Ales has taken two podiums across five starts, both coming in Skip Barber where he has completed two rounds so far this season. In NASA he has made three starts without a podium finish. He has beaten developing drivers including Svilen Kanev, who had raced NASA across twenty-five starts, and Aaron Vazquez twice.[2]

In the fields he races, Ales typically finishes behind club-level regulars such as John Friesen and Martin Tagliavini, both of whom have considerably more experience in NASA and other national championships. Skip Barber Team, which fields him, has won twice across its roster and has produced drivers at developing level.
