Svilen Kanev is a club-level driver competing in national multiclass sprint and endurance racing in the United States. He races production-based cars in NASA's Super Touring 4 and Super Touring 5 classes, primarily for BMW M240i, and competes in the World Racing League's GP1 endurance class for El Diablo Motorsports. His racing record spans four seasons from 2022 to the present.[1]
Across NASA and SCCA Regionals, Kanev has recorded 28 starts with one win and five podiums since 2022. His breakthrough came in 2026 when he joined the World Racing League, where he has taken four podiums from six rounds of the ongoing season and currently sits third in the GP1 championship standings. This marks his first title, won in the World Racing League GP1 National championship.[2]
Kanev typically finishes behind club-level regular John Friesen and developing driver Daniel Rose in NASA competition.
