🇩🇪 Michael Mönch

Michael Mönch is a semi-professional endurance racing driver competing in multiclass racing at the Nürburgring. He races for Teichmann Racing in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, where he drives KTM X-Bow Cup-X machinery and GT4 and production cars across its various classes. He holds an FIA Bronze grading, the amateur classification in endurance racing. His career spans 16 seasons from 2010 to the present across two national championships at the Nürburgring.[1]

Across the Langstrecken-Serie and the Nürburgring 24 Hours, Mönch has made 70 starts and taken 18 podiums. In the Langstrecken-Serie proper he has competed since 2010 and earned 16 podiums from 66 starts, establishing himself as a regular in the series. His 24 Hours appearances have brought two podium finishes from four starts, most recently taking a podium finish at the 2023 race.[2]

The fields he races in blend amateur and semi-professional drivers with graded professionals in the same multiclass grid. Mönch typically finishes behind the championship-winning regulars in his series; he trails Michael Flehmer and Rolf Derscheid, both competitive amateurs with multiple class titles in the Langstrecken-Serie, in direct competition. Against stronger opposition he has occasionally broken through, finishing ahead of Jules Gounon, an established professional who races in GT World Challenge Europe and IMSA, and Fabio Leimer, an established professional and 2013 GP2 Series champion, in isolated instances across his 16 seasons.
