Mike Basham is a competitive amateur racing stock cars in the ARCA Menards Series, a national single-class championship that runs entirely on ovals and road courses across the United States. He has made 95 starts in the series since 2015, most recently for Darrell Basham Racing, the team run by his father. He also competes part-time in ARCA Menards East, where he has started 13 times since 2020, primarily on ovals.[1]

His record in the ARCA Menards Series proper has been steady but mid-pack; he races regularly against competitive amateurs and semi-professionals, finishing closely matched against Brad Smith, another regular entrant at that level. Against the series' stronger drivers, Basham typically finishes behind them. He has twice finished ahead of Ty Gibbs, the 2021 ARCA champion and a multiple-series winner now racing in NASCAR's national series, and once ahead of Zane Smith, the 2022 NASCAR Truck champion. In 2026, he sits 34th in the championship standings through two rounds.[2]

Basham's most consistent competition comes from other semi-professional and amateur drivers working their way through ARCA's grid, a field that regularly includes professionals and graded racers competing at a higher level. His infrequent results against established champions suggest occasional competitive moments rather than a pattern of pace at that level.
