Michael Pflüger raced as a competitive amateur in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, a national multiclass endurance championship in Germany where amateurs and professionals share the track in crewed cars across multiple classes. He drove for Black Falcon Team TMD Friction in GT4 and modified production machinery between 2011 and 2014, accumulating 20 starts across four seasons.[1]

Pflüger took one win and five podiums over his four years in the series. His most recent activity came in 2014, when he finished 29th in the championship standings after two rounds. He was a regular fixture in the field against established opponents such as Franz-Josef Georges, a fellow competitive amateur, though he typically finished behind him. Steve Jans, a professional and multiple championship winner in the same series, was another frequent rival whom Pflüger usually trailed.[2]

Among the stronger drivers in the field, Pflüger twice faced Lucas Ordóñez, a professional and FIA Gold-graded driver with experience in Super GT and the World Endurance Championship, and beat him once. He also raced against Andreas Weishaupt, a professional bronze-graded driver with 28 Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie starts, and finished ahead of him in one of their meetings.
