Nathan Adds competed in kart racing across six seasons from 2011 to 2017, with all recorded starts coming at the SKUSA SuperNationals. He completed six starts in that period without recording a win or podium finish, averaging a 12th-place result. His most frequent on-track opponents included Cabot Bigham, a competitive amateur, and drivers graded at the professional level by the FIA, including Silver-graded Salvador de Alba and Carter Williams. Against this mixed field, Adds finished ahead of Bigham in two of their three meetings but recorded a losing head-to-head record against both de Alba and Williams.[1]
On single occasions, Adds outfinished a number of stronger drivers: he beat Pato O'Ward, an elite professional and IMSA WeatherTech PC champion; Sebastian Alvarez and Salvador de Alba, both established professionals; and Harry Gottsacker, a professional and winner of the 2023 IMSA Pilot Challenge TCR. These were isolated results rather than sustained patterns of outperformance against superior fields.
Adds holds a Racer Rating of 2,571, placing him in the competitive amateur band; this describes a driver who races at the front of club fields and entry-level pro-am classes but without the consistency to sustain a professional career. His record is now retired as of 2017.
