Norbert Mehling is a club-level driver, rating 1,074, competing in non-professional endurance racing. This rating places him among developing and club drivers; he has raced only four times across a two-season span from 2016 to 2018 and is now retired from competition.[1]

Mehling's career consisted entirely of the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, where he made four starts with one podium finish but no wins. His average classified finishing position of 4.5 reflects the single strong result; his most recent racing in 2018 saw him finish twentieth across three rounds. The field he raced in included multiple championship-winning drivers and FIA-graded professionals such as Gerrit Holthaus, Volker Strycek, Michael Bohrer and Stephan Epp, all of whom he met repeatedly. Against these rivals Mehling's head-to-head record was consistently one win against two losses, marking him as outclassed at that level. He did on occasion finish ahead of stronger drivers such as the FIA Bronze-graded David Griessner and the semi-professional Marcel Unland, but these were isolated results rather than evidence of a sustained pattern. His primary association was with Car #625, which recorded no race wins across its history and fielded a field of drivers notably weaker than its occasional rivals.
