Olivier Porta was a professional endurance racing driver competing in shared-car competition. He raced in the FIA GT Championship between 2001 and 2006 for Red Racing, then returned to competition in 2013 with a single start in the WEC's LMP2 class for DKR Engineering, finishing 27th in the championship standings. Across his indexed career, he made 3 starts.[1]
His two FIA GT Championship appearances came early in his career. When he returned to racing twelve years later, he joined DKR Engineering for the 2013 WEC season, a multiclass endurance series in which LMP2 prototypes share the grid with faster and slower machinery. His record across professional endurance grids shows finishes ahead of drivers including professionals Yukihiro Hane and Jirko Malchárek, both of whom had substantially more experience in GT racing when Porta beat them.[2]
