Across fourteen career starts, he took nine wins and twelve podiums, establishing himself as the class's dominant driver over his final season; he won six races and took seven podiums from the eight rounds that year to secure the title. His record against his most regular opponents, Normand Houle and James R Breakey, both developing drivers with substantial PCA experience, shows him consistently ahead of them.[2]
His field included professional-level drivers graded by the FIA; he beat Scott Sharp, a Platinum-graded professional with 147 IndyCar starts and significant IMSA and WEC experience, once, and Michael Marsal, an FIA Silver professional with twenty IMSA WeatherTech starts, twice.
