Paul Costas is a competitive amateur who raced in NASA's multiclass national championship across seven seasons from 2014 to 2021, driving a Chevrolet Camaro in the Super Unlimited class. He also made a single Trans-Am start in 2017 in a GT-class production-based car. His record spans 20 starts across both series.[1]
Costas won NASA national championships in 2015 and 2017, taking 15 wins and 17 podiums across his 19 NASA starts. He finished ahead of the 2018 NASA Super Unlimited champion James Ingram once in their meetings. Costas typically finished ahead of regular opponents Karl Lehenbauer and Rick Ellis, whom he beat 10 times across their shared NASA season entries.[2]
The multiclass NASA grid mixed amateur and semi-professional entrants with graded professionals in the same races. Within that field, Costas established himself as one of the stronger competitors in the Super Unlimited class, where he took both his national titles.
