Paul Costas is a semi-professional driver competing in national multiclass sprint racing. He races a Chevrolet Camaro in NASA's Super Unlimited class, where closed-wheel cars of any power level share a grid with fifteen other classes and a field mixing amateurs, semi-professionals and graded professionals.[1]

Across seven seasons from 2014 to 2021, Costas accumulated fifteen wins and eighteen podiums from twenty starts in NASA competition. He won NASA national championships in 2015 and 2017, both with the Camaro. His record was built almost entirely in NASA; a single Trans-Am outing in 2021, racing a production-based GT car in that series' GT class, yielded a podium finish.[2]

Costas typically finished ahead of his regular opponents in NASA, including club-level drivers Karl Lehenbauer and Rick Ellis. He beat Ellis ten times across their meetings. The calibre of his results placed him among the faster drivers in a field that included competitors ranging from developing amateurs to established professionals; his semi-professional rating reflects consistent performance in that company rather than dominance within it.
