Maurizio Pitorri is a club-level racing driver competing in the Ferrari Challenge with a rating of 1,926. This level represents competitive amateur racing; the driver participates in organised competition against established professionals but typically finishes well back in the field. Across three seasons from 2022 to 2025, Pitorri has contested 14 races, securing one victory and one additional podium finish. His average finishing position stands at eighth, a figure that reflects inconsistency; he has beaten several drivers of semi-professional calibre, including Andreas König and Alexander Nussbaumer, the 2022 Ferrari Challenge S-AM champion, on multiple occasions, yet finishes behind them far more often.[1]
The head-to-head record against his most frequent rivals tells a mixed story. Against König, a FIA Bronze-graded professional, Pitorri has finished ahead only twice in eleven shared races. Against Tommy Lindroth and Werner Genter, both weaker drivers, his record is more even; he has outfinished Lindroth five times and Genter five times, though with losses interspersed. He has beaten Pino Frascaro more consistently, winning seven of ten encounters. Pitorri has recorded isolated victories over stronger competitors including FIA Silver driver Qwin Wietlisbach and the 2025 Ferrari Challenge S-AM champion Sven Schömer, but these stand as single results rather than patterns of competitiveness at that level.
Currently active in 2025, Pitorri's recent form has declined; he finished 46th in his most recent outing. His primary association has been with Radicci Automobili and CDP – Best Lap, teams that have shown modest competitive returns across the wider grid. His career remains rooted in one-make racing without progression to stronger series.
