Paul Gilbert is a developing driver racing in the SCCA's multiclass regional and national championships in the United States, piloting spec Mazda Miatas in the SM and SM2 classes. He has been active since 2022 and currently competes for SCCA Regionals.[1]
Over five seasons across SCCA Regionals and SCCA Majors, Gilbert has taken four podiums from 19 starts. His 2026 SCCA Regionals campaign is in progress with two podiums already from the rounds run to date. He typically finishes ahead of fellow developing driver Bruce Allen, a regular opponent with 69 Regionals starts and 36 Majors starts across his career. Against Austin Smith, a competitive amateur who has raced both series extensively, Gilbert has finished behind him more often than not but has beaten him twice.[2]
Gilbert has also finished ahead of Mike Anderson once, an entry-level professional whose experience includes 32 Star Mazda Championship starts alongside his work in SCCA competition.
