Ralf Kalaschek was an entry-level professional racing in the FIA GT Championship, a single-class endurance series in which each car is shared between two or more drivers. He raced for GBF UK Ltd. in 1997.[1]
Kalaschek made three starts in the FIA GT Championship that year and finished 33rd in the championship standings. His only indexed season placed him in a mixed amateur and professional field; he finished behind established professionals Alessandro Nannini and Thierry Boutsen, both former Formula 1 drivers, but beat Mauro Baldi and Olivier Grouillard, each of whom had raced in Formula 1 and held significantly more endurance experience than Kalaschek's three-start record.[2]
