🏳️ Rick Norris

Rick Norris was a developing-level driver competing in amateur and semi-professional multiclass racing across two national series. He raced primarily in American Endurance Racing's shared-car format from 2015 to 2022, competing in its Class 2, Class 3 and Sebring classes across production-based machinery. He also competed in NASA's single-driver multiclass championship in the PTC and Super Touring classes, racing a BMW 325is for much of that stint.[1]

Across eight seasons Norris accumulated 20 starts and a single win, which came in NASA. He took eight podiums in total; two in American Endurance Racing and six in NASA. His most recent indexed activity was a 2021 NASA season in which he finished twenty-first in the championship standings. He was closely matched with club-level regular Eric Gustafson, whom he raced against in both series, and typically finished ahead of John Howard, another developing-level driver who ran a longer NASA campaign.[2]

Norris occasionally finished ahead of entry-level professionals; he beat Andrew Gilbert and Catesby Jones once each, both drivers with significant experience in multiple series including European Le Mans and 24-hour racing. His primary team fielded him in eight starts and has counted an entry-level professional among its strongest drivers across a wider roster.
