🏳️ Ron Boustedt

Ron Boustedt raced in a national pro-am multiclass endurance championship in the United States, competing from 2012 to 2017. He drove German-specification cars across three different classes in NASA: GTS2 and GTS3, which shared a mix of BMWs and Porsches, and Spec E30, a one-make series based on the BMW E30. His career spanned six seasons and 27 starts in the indexed record.[1]

Boustedt took three wins and ten podiums across his time in NASA, finishing twelfth in the points in his final year of 2017, when he raced four rounds. His most recent recorded race came that year. He is now retired from competition.[2]

In a field that mixed amateur and semi-professional entrants with graded professionals, Boustedt finished as a developing-level driver, consistently middle-pack. He usually finished behind Jeff Emanuelson, who operated at his own developing level across 69 NASA starts, and was closely matched with DJ Fitzpatrick, a competitive amateur who raced 75 NASA events. He beat Fitzpatrick seven times and semi-professional Mike Ward, who had run 83 NASA starts and competed in higher-level categories internationally, twice.
