Ryan Raduechel was a competitive amateur racing in NASA, a national multiclass championship where 15 classes share the track in a single race. He drove purpose-built tube-frame roadsters with motorcycle engines in the Thunder Roadster class for team 115521, competing in the series from 2004 to 2022.[1]
Raduechel finished his career with 59 starts across 18 seasons of racing, taking 28 wins and 34 podiums. He claimed two NASA championships, in 2011 and 2021, the latter in the Thunder Roadster GTR class. His most recent campaign in 2022 yielded three wins from three rounds raced, though he ended the season 12th in the championship standings.[2]
In the multiclass fields he competed in, Raduechel typically finished ahead of developing-level drivers and club-level regulars such as Tom Boyd and Robert Raduechel, with whom he was closely matched over multiple meetings. He recorded isolated results against stronger opposition, including two wins over Mike Bliss, an entry-level professional with 359 NASCAR Xfinity starts, and one over Alex Kennedy, a professional with NASCAR Xfinity experience.
