Haraishi is a developing amateur competitor racing in national multiclass sprint championships in the United States. Across three seasons from 2024 to 2026, he has contested SCCA Regionals, NASA, and SCCA Majors, primarily in spec Mazda Miata classes and production-based touring cars. His most recent activity is in SCCA Regionals, where he currently sits 41st in the championship standings after four rounds.[1]
His record spans 55 starts across three series with four podium finishes. In SCCA Regionals he has taken two podiums from 33 starts; in NASA he has two podiums from 14 starts in Spec Miata and Super Touring 6 competition; SCCA Majors has yielded eight starts without a podium. The 2026 SCCA Regionals season is still in progress, and he has one podium so far from the rounds run to date.[2]
He races regularly against club and competitive amateur drivers, typically finishing behind both David Martel, a club-level regular with over 100 starts at this level, and Curtis Zhi, a competitive amateur who has raced all three series Haraishi competes in. He has finished ahead of Aaron Jeansonne, a professional and FIA Silver graded driver with extensive experience in the Mazda MX-5 Cup and NASA, on two occasions, and has one finish ahead of Adam Smalley, an entry-level professional FIA Gold driver with 53 SCCA Regionals starts.
