Ryan Zust is a club-level driver racing in national amateur and semi-professional multiclass sprint championships in the United States. He competes in Spec Miata class, driving a Mazda MX-5 Miata in spec trim, across NASA's national series and SCCA Regionals.[1]
His first two indexed seasons span 2025 and 2026, with 51 starts across both championships and two podium finishes in NASA. In the 2026 SCCA Regionals season, which is still in progress after six rounds, he currently sits 30th in the standings.[2]
Zust races a multiclass grid that includes professionals and semi-professionals alongside amateurs. Against his regular competition, he typically finishes behind Casey Moyer, an entry-level professional with an FIA Silver licence who runs both NASA and SCCA Regionals, and Nathaniel Spitz, a more experienced competitive amateur. He has beaten professional-level drivers including Aaron Jeansonne, who has raced Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup, NASA and Porsche Carrera Cup, and Adam Smalley, an FIA Gold graded driver with experience in SCCA Regionals and European GT racing.
