Chadwick Morehead was a competitive amateur racing in national solo sprint championships in the United States between 2015 and 2018. He raced spec BMW E46 3-series in NASA and BMW CCA Club Racing, competing in multiclass fields that mixed amateurs, semi-professionals and graded professionals.[1]
Across four seasons Morehead took 23 starts and recorded two wins and seven podiums. His primary series was NASA, where he ran 16 starts from 2015 to 2018 with one win and three podiums in the Spec E46 class. He spent two seasons in BMW CCA Club Racing between 2017 and 2018, taking one win and four podiums from six starts in the same machinery. He made one endurance racing appearance in American Endurance Racing in 2018, sharing a production-based car in the multiclass Class 4 field. His final season brought one podium from a single NASA round, finishing 24th in the championship standings.[2]
Morehead raced regularly against Robert Gagliardo, a multi-time NASA and BMW CCA champion who usually finished ahead of him, and Brian Dehler, a developing driver whom he typically beat. He finished ahead of Aristotle Balogh, an entry-level professional with FIA Bronze grading who had raced extensively in NASA and endurance series, and Evan Levine, an entry-level professional and 2024 NASA Spec E46 champion, in single meetings with each.
