Jason Tower was a competitive amateur racer in national solo sprint racing across spec BMW championships. He competed primarily in NASA between 2010 and 2016, driving spec E30 and E46 BMW 3-series in the PTB and Spec classes alongside occasional outings in BMW CCA Club Racing and a single American Endurance Racing start. His most substantial team affiliation was with a small operation that fielded him for 19 of his 62 career starts.[1]
Tower accumulated 5 wins and 21 podiums across 62 starts over seven seasons. His most successful period came in NASA, where he took 4 wins and 20 podiums from 57 starts and finished fourth in the championship standings in 2016, his final active season. He added one win in BMW CCA Club Racing in 2018 before retiring from competition.[2]
His results placed him consistently mid-field against a competitive field of amateurs and entry-level professionals. He regularly raced against Evan Levine, an entry-level professional with over 150 NASA and BMW CCA starts, finishing behind him more often than ahead; he did, however, beat Levine 14 times across their meetings. He also raced frequently against Robert Gagliardo, a competitive amateur and 2017 American Endurance Racing Class 3 champion, typically finishing behind him. Tower finished ahead of Aristotle Balogh, an entry-level professional and FIA Bronze-graded driver, on three occasions.
