Lutz Wolzenburg was a club-level driver in German national endurance racing. He spent six seasons racing in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie and the Nürburgring 24 Hours between 2016 and 2022, sharing front-wheel-drive and turbocharged production cars for GITI TIRE MOTORSPORT BY WS RACING. The win came at the Nürburgring 24 Hours in 2022. Across his seasons in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, he took two podiums from eleven starts; he was a regular finisher in the VT2 and V5 classes against a mixed field of amateur and semi-professional drivers. He typically finished ahead of club-level regular Ralf Wiesner but behind Janis Waldow, who won the VT2 championship twice in that period and held entry-level professional status.[2]
Wolzenburg's record includes single finishes ahead of elite professionals; he finished ahead of Edoardo Mortara, the 2010 Formula 3 Euro Series champion, and Robin Frijns, winner of the 2021 WEC LMP2 championship, in separate races. These were isolated results in multiclass fields where machinery and pit strategy shaped outcomes as much as driver pace, and they do not alter his standing within the regular fields he raced.
