Scott Phillips competed in karting at the SKUSA SuperNationals in 2010, the single season on record. He made one start in the series and finished sixth in that race. Phillips' rating of 2,047 places him in the club racing band; this represents a developing competitor in local and regional karting competition.[1]
That single appearance produced a notable result. Phillips finished ahead of Salvador de Alba, an FIA Silver graded driver rated at 4,466, along with Clark Toppe, another FIA Silver driver at 4,026. He also beat Axel Matus and Micah Hendricks in the same event. The quality of opposition he defeated in that race far exceeded his own rating, suggesting the result was a stand-out performance rather than a representative one; the limited sample makes it difficult to characterise his competitive level from the evidence alone. Phillips has since retired from active racing.
