Shannon McCue is a retired semi-professional driver who raced primarily in club and regional competition. McCue's Racer Rating of 777 places them in the competitive amateur band, the level of drivers who run consistently at the front of club racing and occasional pro-am fields. Over thirteen seasons from 2008 to 2020, McCue contested 72 races across three series, accumulating one win and 18 podium finishes with an average classified finish of fifth place.[1]

McCue's racing was centred on Porsche club racing, competing in NASA events across twelve seasons and accumulating 63 starts in the Porsche 996 Cup. That single win came in NASA competition, where McCue proved capable of beating club-level rivals regularly but competed mostly in the middle order against stronger drivers. Of the recurring competitors McCue faced, only Michael Cooper, a much stronger professional driver who won the 2017 NASA 944 Spec championship and carries a Silver FIA grade, appears among those McCue finished ahead of with any frequency; McCue beat Cooper four times across their shared races, though the head-to-head record favoured Cooper decisively. Against most of McCue's regular rivals, including the NASA champions Edward Baus and multiple drivers rated in the low-to-mid professional range, McCue finished behind in most encounters. McCue also competed in PCA Club Racing and entered one American Endurance Racing event in 2020, taking a podium finish in the latter. McCue's final recorded races came in PCA Club Racing in 2019.
