Tara Brewster raced in NASA's multiclass championship between 2014 and 2021, competing in the 944 Spec class driving Porsche 944s. She was a club-level driver racing in a field that mixed amateurs, semi-professionals and graded professionals on the same grid. She retired after the 2021 season.[1]
Brewster made 38 starts across her indexed career and took three wins and 14 podiums. Her record was concentrated in the mid-field of the championship; in her final season, 2021, she finished 35th in points across one round raced. Her best result came in 2018 when she won at Mid-Ohio, and she took further victories in 2019. She was a regular in the class through the middle years of her career, with her podium finishes spread across the 2014 to 2019 seasons.[2]
In the company she regularly kept, Brewster usually finished ahead of developing-level opponent Shane Denney but typically behind Michael Cooper, an FIA Silver-graded professional who has also raced IMSA Pilot Challenge and GT4 America. She did beat Cooper three times, and also finished ahead of semi-professional Derrek Morehead on five occasions across their meetings in the class.
