Stephan Linz was a developing amateur racing in PCA Club Racing, a national multiclass championship run in the United States in which amateur and semi-professional drivers share races across sixteen classes. He raced Porsches in the E and SP3 classes over four seasons from 2013 to 2016.[1]
Linz took 43 starts across his career, collecting one win and eight podiums. He finished eleventh in the 2016 championship standings in what proved to be his final season of racing, posting three podiums from nine rounds that year.[2]
He typically finished behind his most frequent rival Rob Branthover, a club-level driver who had contested American Endurance Racing as well as PCA Club Racing. Linz was closely matched with Damon DeCastro, another developing amateur with over a hundred PCA starts to his name. His wins came against a field that included competitive amateurs such as Shakir Wilson and Michal Stach, both of whom had deeper experience in endurance racing.
