Peppes is a competitive amateur racing single-seater and sports racer classes in SCCA national championships. He campaigns open-wheel cars in SCCA Majors, split between 2-liter Formula Continental and Formula Ford machinery, and races one-design Spec Racer Fords and production-based closed-wheel cars bracketed by lap time in SCCA Regionals. His primary activity has been in Regionals since 2023.[1]
Across seven seasons from 2020 onwards, Peppes has taken five wins and twenty podiums from fifty-one starts. His record in SCCA Regionals stands at three wins and sixteen podiums from thirty-one starts. In SCCA Majors he has two wins and four podiums from nineteen starts. He took one endurance start in American Endurance Racing in 2020, racing a production-based car in a multiclass field. His current 2026 SCCA Regionals season is in progress; he sits ninety-second in the championship standings so far.[2]
In regular competition against other club and semi-professional drivers, Peppes typically finishes ahead of Keith Fraser and runs closely matched with Jason Pintar, both frequent regional rivals. He has also finished ahead of Steven Thomas, a professional who holds the 2025 International GT CAY3.8 championship and has competed in IMSA WeatherTech and American Endurance Racing across a far larger career, in seven meetings between them.
