Tim Minor is a competitive amateur racing Formula Continental open-wheel cars in SCCA national and regional competition. He competes in the SCCA Majors multiclass championship, which runs 25 classes on the same track and fields amateurs and semi-professionals alongside graded professionals, and races the same car in SCCA Regionals and the invitational SCCA Runoffs.[1]
Across six indexed seasons from 2021 to 2026, Minor has taken 11 wins and 19 podiums from 24 starts in Formula Continental. His record in SCCA Majors runs 15 starts with 11 wins and 12 podiums. He has raced the SCCA Runoffs five times, taking three podiums, and moved into SCCA Regionals in 2025, where he has taken a podium finish in all four starts. His most recent outing was a podium at the 2025 SCCA Runoffs.[2]
In Formula Continental competition, Minor regularly finishes ahead of Michael Varacins, who won the 2023 SCCA Majors championship in the class. He runs closely matched with Robert Allaer, the 2025 SCCA Majors FC champion. Minor has also beaten Nolan Allaer, an entry-level professional and FIA Silver graded driver who has raced Indy NXT, on three occasions.
