Aguirre is an entry-level professional racing in single-driver national championships across Argentina and the United States. With a Racer Rating of 3,669, he competes at the level of a driver on the way up through semi-professional and professional ranks. He holds an FIA Silver grade, which places him below the full-professional Gold and Platinum ranks in endurance racing. His primary machinery has been a Chevrolet Camaro in Turismo Carretera, where he has competed most frequently since 2018.[1]
Across 12 seasons and 196 starts, Aguirre won the 2017 TC Pista championship with Dodge. In Turismo Carretera, his most-raced series, he has taken 115 starts, six wins and 14 podiums for Chevrolet since 2018. He has also raced extensively in TC Pick Up, where he added five wins and 12 podiums across 34 starts. His record includes victories in TC Mouras in 2015 and a sole season in Trans-Am TA2 in 2025, where he started three races. He is currently active in the 2026 Turismo Carretera season, with four rounds raced so far.[2]
Aguirre runs regularly against Mariano Werner, a four-time Turismo Carretera champion and 2023 TC Pick Up champion with 230 starts in the series, and against semi-professional Gaston Mazzacane, a veteran of 219 Turismo Carretera entries. He is closely matched with both. He has finished ahead of established professional Corey Day, who has raced NASCAR Xfinity and Truck series, and professional Adam Andretti, who competed in Trans-Am and NASCAR Truck racing.
