Warren Kniper is a competitive amateur driver whose rating of 2,743 places him at the front of club racing; he was the type of driver who races for experience or passion against other amateurs and entry-level professionals rather than competing full-time in established championships. His career on record consists of a single season in 2006, when he made one start in the Star Mazda Championship for American Speed Factory.[1]

In that sole outing, Kniper finished 34th and did not score a podium finish. He nonetheless showed competitiveness against the field; he finished ahead of several semi-professional drivers, including Mark Pavan, a Bronze-graded sportscar driver, as well as Jay Poscente, Browning Williams, and Charles Anti. American Speed Factory, the team that fielded him, had no wins in the database across a seven-driver roster, and Kniper was not among its strongest drivers; that distinction belonged to Moses Smith, a professional-level competitor. Kniper has since retired from racing.
