Michael Guasch is a retired professional driver who raced prototype cars in national and international endurance and sprint championships from 2005 to 2019. He spent most of his career in IMSA's multiclass grids, competing in the WeatherTech Championship's P class and the Prototype Challenge's LMP3 class, with additional starts in the Le Mans Cup. His primary team was PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports.[1]
Guasch began in single-seater racing with 27 starts in the Star Mazda Championship across 2005 to 2009, finishing 22nd in the final championship standings. He returned to competition a full five years later in 2014, moving to prototype endurance racing with PR1/Mathiasen. Over four seasons with IMSA WeatherTech from 2014 to 2017, he took one win and one podium from 14 starts. He made his final indexed appearances in 2019, competing once in the Prototype Challenge and twice in the Le Mans Cup for United Autosports, where he scored a podium finish.[2]
His record places him in a field populated by established professionals and graded drivers competing across IMSA's top endurance series. He regularly contested against Christopher Cumming, a professional with significant experience across multiple championships including WEC, and Joel Miller, an entry-level professional and Lamborghini Super Trofeo champion. In endurance racing shared among co-drivers, Guasch finished ahead of Sébastien Buemi, a five-time WEC LMP1 champion and former Formula E champion, and Christian Fittipaldi, the 1991 International Formula 3000 champion and 2014 IMSA WeatherTech champion, on separate occasions.
