William Myers is a competitive amateur, with a Racer Rating of 2,864. This places him at the front of club racing and the entry end of professional amateur competition; the level of drivers who are quick and racing seriously, but against fields that do not contain the full-time professionals at the top of the sport.[1]

Myers raced in US F4 during the 2020 season, completing 18 starts without securing a win or podium finish. His average finishing position was 12th, placing him in the middle of a competitive field. He most frequently raced against drivers of similar standing, notably finishing ahead of Will Holtz, a club-level driver, in 10 of their 13 shared races. However, he was consistently outpaced by stronger competitors in the field. Against semi-professional drivers such as Dylan Tavella and Jose Blanco, Myers finished ahead only three times in thirteen encounters with each. He faced a steeper challenge against Spike Kohlbecker, a professional-level driver, and lost that head-to-head battle decisively; across 13 races he did not finish ahead even once.[2]

Myers scored isolated results against several established professionals, beating FIA Gold champion Kyffin Simpson once and Silver-graded drivers Bijoy Garg, Nick Persing and Sam Paley on single occasions. These represent moments of competitiveness in a season that ultimately saw him finish outside the points and without a podium. He retired after the 2020 season, leaving a record of one year of racing at this level.
