Ronan Murphy is the son of Supercars legend Greg Murphy. He competed in US F4 during the 2020 season, completing 18 starts across the year without recording a podium finish. His average finishing position across classified races was 13th, placing him in the lower half of the field.[1]
Murphy's head-to-head record against regular competitors tells a mixed story. He finished ahead of Dylan Tavella on only one occasion across 15 shared races, and had similarly poor records against Cade McKee, Nico Christodoulou, and FIA Silver graded Jose Blanco, finishing ahead of each of them in only two or three races out of fourteen or fifteen encounters. Will Holtz was the exception, a driver rated near Murphy's own level, against whom Murphy held a winning head-to-head record of 9 to 5 across 14 races. Despite being outpaced by most regular rivals, Murphy did finish ahead of stronger drivers on isolated occasions, including twice against Kyffin Simpson, a Gold-graded former champion, and once each against Sam Paley, Bijoy Garg, and Nick Persing, all FIA Silver professionals. Murphy has since retired from professional racing.
