The Lucas Oil Formula Car Race Series is a sprint formula car championship contested in two classes. The Championship class fields established competitors at the higher end of club and entry-level professional racing, while the Masters class gathers older drivers at a recreational level. The series draws drivers from a range of amateur and lower-level professional ladders including SKUSA SuperNationals, NASA, and SCCA Regionals, and feeds them onward to SCCA Majors and US F4 as well as into IMSA's one-make and prototype classes.
