Aldo Gordini was a French driver, born in Bologna, Italy, and son of Amédée Gordini, the founder of the French Gordini sports car manufacturer. He worked as a mechanic for the family racing team and made a brief appearance in Formula 1 in 1951, driving a Simca in a single Grand Prix. He finished twentieth in that outing and did not return to the series.[1]
Gordini's racing record comprises only that one Formula 1 start. He competed in a field that included front-running drivers of the era, but he did not score points or finish on the podium. His career on record spans 1951 alone, and he is now retired from racing.[2]
