Bill Bernick raced as a developing driver in PCA Club Racing, a national multiclass championship where Porsches in his E class shared the track with fifteen other classes of vehicles and drivers ranging from amateurs to graded professionals. Bernick took two wins and twelve podiums across his career. He finished 24th in the championship standings in his final season, 2016.[2]
He raced regularly against competitive amateurs with substantially more experience in the series; Niels Meissner, who completed 133 starts in PCA Club Racing, typically finished ahead of him, while Pat Heptig, who made 175 starts, proved closely matched. Bernick beat Meissner four times across their head-to-heads and took one result over Austin Cameron, who had competed in both PCA Club Racing and NASCAR Xfinity.
